Draft

This document isn’t final. It was drafted from what the product does today. Dashed fields are facts nobody has confirmed yet. A lawyer needs to review it before it’s published.

This policy explains what FOMVIA collects when you make and share profile objects, why, and what you can do about it.

01Information we collect

FOMVIA collects what it needs to let you build, save and share profile objects.

When you create an account

  • Your name and email address.
  • A password, handled by Authentication provider.

When you make a design

  • The content you add: your name, handle, role, stats, notes and links.
  • Images you upload, such as an avatar or a cover image.
  • Your design settings: template, colours, typography, material and motion.

When you connect a platform

  • The username or profile address you enter, and the platform data FOMVIA fetches for it. See Connected platform data.

When you contact us

  • The messages you send and the email address you send them from.

02How we use information

  • To run your account and let you log in.
  • To build, save and display your designs.
  • To fetch and refresh platform data when you ask for it.
  • To serve your profile pages, interactive embeds and static exports.
  • To answer support messages.
  • To keep FOMVIA secure and stop misuse.

03Connected platform data

A design can show data from one supported platform at a time, such as GitHub, Instagram, LinkedIn or LeetCode. A cube can show a different source on each face.

  • What we fetch. The profile details shown on your object, such as repository, follower or solved-problem counts. You choose which fields appear.
  • How we fetch it. Access method: public API, OAuth or other for each platform.
  • When it refreshes. When you select Fetch in the editor. Automatic refresh schedule, if any
  • Their rules apply. Each platform’s own terms and privacy policy still apply to your account there.

To stop showing a platform’s data, remove the username from the face or card and save. Cached copies are removed Removal timing.

04Uploaded content

Images you upload are stored with Storage provider so your designs can show them.

  • An image on a shared design can be seen by anyone who opens that design.
  • Only upload images you have the right to use. The Terms of Service explain the permissions you give FOMVIA to show them.
  • Deleting an image or a design removes it from FOMVIA Deletion timing.

05Cookies and local storage

This prototype uses your browser’s local storage, and no cookies, to remember:

  • Whether design annotations are shown.
  • Your email address, only if you tick “Remember me”.
  • Template content and appearance you’ve saved in the editor.
  • The last plan you selected on the pricing page.

This stays in your browser. Clearing your site data removes it.

06Sharing and service providers

What you share

Profile pages and embeds are public. Anyone with the link, or anyone visiting a site where you’ve placed an embed, can see the content on them.

Service providers

FOMVIA relies on other companies to run. The list will name each one and what it does:

  • Hosting: Provider
  • Authentication: Provider
  • Email delivery: Provider
  • Payments, once checkout exists: Provider

07Retention and deletion

  • Your account and designs are kept while your account is open.
  • When you delete a design, its profile page and embeds stop working.
  • When you delete your account, your data is removed Account deletion period. Backups are cleared Backup period.
  • Images you exported and saved yourself stay with you.
